
Daniel A. Baylson
Daniel A. Baylson has over 18 years of practice experience in the areas of employment related matters, personal injury and catastrophic loss, construction defects and commercial litigation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He was previously a Partner and the Office Chair for a national law firm’s local office. Dan works diligently to obtain the best possible results for his clients. Clients appreciate his reassuring demeanor, knowledge, and focus and attention to detail. Dan works hard to provide effective advocacy and practical solutions for every matter while also foreseeing potential future issues that are best addressed promptly.
Dan’s employment practice includes a broad range of matters in Federal and State courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and also before administrative agencies including the EEOC, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. His labor and employment practice encompass the issues that clients face in managing and interacting with employees, including employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, wage and hour claims, FMLA and ADA claims, and disputes surrounding enforcement and defense of non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements. He also advises clients on various employment decisions and develops strategies for best practices, policies and procedures, employment handbooks, internal investigations, employment contracts and disciplinary measures. On the flip side, Dan is also well-equipped to represent aggrieved employees who have concerns about workplace discrimination, harassment, and separation.
Dan’s Personal Injury and Catastrophic Loss practice includes severe personal injuries involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, transportation, construction accidents, product liability, and toxic and mass tort. Dan has significant experience with wrongful death claims and serious injuries including traumatic brain injuries complex regional pain syndrome (reflex sympathetic dystrophy), and paraplegia and quadriplegia. In the transportation area, Dan has litigated cases involving personal and commercial vehicles, including trucking and motor coach claims.
Dan also represents clients in lawsuits involving contract disputes, state and federal environmental claims, and construction defects litigation on behalf of general contractors, subcontractors and homeowners.
Dan is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and received his law degree from Villanova University, where he was a member of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal and published journal article Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. EPA: Passing the Buck on Regulation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions, 17 VILL. ENVTL. L.J. 411.
In his free time, Dan enjoys cheering on his son’s and daughter’s soccer teams as well as the Philadelphia Union, snowboarding, cooking, visiting breweries and travel.
